Privacy Policy
How Ovēa collects, uses, and protects your information — including the personal and health-related information you choose to share with us.
Ovēa ("Ovēa," "we," "us," or "our") operates helloovea.com and the Ovēa membership platform (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use our Services, and information from third parties who help us operate our business.
Information you provide to us
- Account & contact information — name, email address, and password when you sign up for our email list, join Ovēa, book a Clarity Consult, or otherwise create an account.
- Payment information — when you purchase a membership, consult, or product, payment is processed by our third-party payment processors (see Section 5). We do not store your full credit card number on our own servers.
- Health & imaging information you choose to submit — including pelvic ultrasound images, scan reports, symptom descriptions, cycle information, and any other health-related details you share as part of an Ultrasound Literacy scan review, Clarity Consult, symptom quiz, intake form, or community post. See Section 2 below for details specific to this information.
- Community & communication content — messages, comments, and questions you submit in community spaces, live Q&A calls, or direct communications with us.
- Survey & quiz responses — answers you provide through our symptom quiz or other interactive tools.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, links clicked, referring URLs, and general interaction with our Services.
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see Section 4 below.
2. Ultrasound Images & Health Information
A core part of Ovēa's membership is the ability to submit your own pelvic ultrasound imaging and scan reports for a personal, educational video walkthrough from Hannah, our ARDMS-certified OB/Gyn sonographer.
Important: Ovēa is an educational platform, not a medical provider. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical care, and the information you submit is reviewed for educational discussion purposes only — not as a substitute for care from your own licensed healthcare provider. Because Ovēa is not a covered healthcare provider or health plan, the federal HIPAA Privacy Rule does not directly apply to the information you share with us in the way it would with your doctor's office. That said, all ultrasound imaging and scan reports are submitted through a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted upload platform, and we apply the same administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to this information that the standard requires.
How we handle imaging and health information
- Imaging and scan reports are uploaded through a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted intake platform — your files are encrypted both in transit (as they upload) and at rest (while stored).
- Uploaded imaging, scan reports, and related health details are accessible only to Hannah and a small number of staff directly involved in preparing your educational review.
- We do not sell your imaging or health information, and we do not use it for advertising or targeting purposes.
- Imaging and associated notes are stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems provided by our technology vendors (see Section 5).
- You may request deletion of imaging you have submitted at any time by contacting us at the email address in Section 13 — see Section 9 for more on your rights.
- If you participate in a community space and choose to share health details publicly (for example, in a group discussion), that information is visible to other members and is no longer private. Please share only what you are comfortable with others seeing.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including personalised scan reviews, Clarity Consults, and membership content;
- Process payments and manage your membership or purchases;
- Send you educational content, product updates, and marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing emails at any time — see Section 9);
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- Personalise your experience, including recommending relevant protocols or content based on quiz results or stated interests;
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve our Services;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activity, and protect the rights and safety of Ovēa and our members;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to operate our Services, remember your preferences, understand how our Services are used, and support our marketing efforts (including tracking the performance of affiliate and referral links).
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of parts of our Services, such as staying logged in or completing a purchase.
5. Third-Party Services & Affiliate Disclosure
We work with third-party service providers to operate Ovēa. These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for purposes other than providing services to us, except as required by law.
- Website & membership hosting — our website and course/membership content are hosted through Kajabi.
- Digital products & storefront — certain free and paid digital products are offered through Stan Store.
- Payment processing — payments are processed by third-party processors such as Stripe or PayPal, who collect and store payment details directly under their own privacy policies.
- Email & marketing — we use email service providers to send newsletters, quiz results, and marketing communications.
- Analytics — we may use analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site.
Amazon Associates & affiliate disclosure
Ovēa is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs, which are designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to affiliated products. When you click a "Shop this supplement" link or similar affiliate link on our site or in our guides, Amazon or another retailer may place a cookie on your device and Ovēa may earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we believe are relevant and useful, but we encourage you to do your own research and consult your healthcare provider before purchasing or using any supplement.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who perform services on our behalf (as described in Section 5);
- To comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Ovēa, our members, or the public;
- In connection with a merger, sale of business assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business;
- With your consent, or at your direction — for example, if you choose to post in a community space.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. Ultrasound imaging and scan reports are submitted through a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted upload platform, with encryption in transit and at rest and access controls limiting who can view that information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information, including imaging and health information, for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your information, we will delete or de-identify it unless we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your personal information, including submitted imaging;
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Ovēa does not sell personal information);
- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.
Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, and residents of the EU/UK (where applicable), may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for women aged 18 and older and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International Visitors
Ovēa is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email notification). Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
